Planning for our 2018 event started per usual but in March we lost the man behind the run Ray LaRochelle. He was the main organizer, muscle and leader of the pack in 2017 and is dearly missed. We are dedicationg this years event to Ray. Please join us in celebrating a life well lived and a man well loved, May 19th ride for Ray.
The Ride begins at 8:30am with registration, coffee & donuts; bikers get a chance during this time to meet & mingle with the Patriotic Party People of Pepperell and other riders. A blessing of the bikes and singing of the National Anthem follows. Then it’s stands up at 10 and off you go on a BEAUTIFUL ride through the gorgeous New England towns of Pepperell, Brookline, Milford, Jaffery, Peterborough and Ashby then back to Pepperell for a BIG BANGING PARTY with music, food, raffles and friends honoring Pepperell’s Patriot of the Year.
The Patriot is the Party People of Pepperell’s choice to become the Grand Marshall in the small town BIG BANG Parade. We announce this outstanding citizen after the ride. Last year James R. Triehy was our Patriot. James is Pepperell’s last surviving WWll veteran. He lived, worked and raised a family of 8 in Pepperell for 65 years. We hope to honor another outstanding Pepperellite in 2018!
All proceeds support the small town BIG BANG event; it’s the generous donations from citizens, businesses, and people like YOU who make small town boom, bang, glow and blow for America. Thank-you for your support and we hope to meet and mingle with you on May 19th at the Pepperell VFW! May the 4th be with you on June 30th 2018 our date for small town BIG BANG because we like to start the party not end it. BOOM!
